My first meeting with Laura and Richard was at their engagement session at Slains Castle and surrounding cliffs in November. As soon as I met them, I knew we were going to have loads of fun together. In between the laughs and giggles, we also managed to capture these intimate moments.
Engagement sessions are a fantastic way for me to get to know my couples a bit better (of course also the other way round) and to loose some of the nervousness of being in front of the camera.
Fast forward to 29th February - Laura and Richard's wedding day at the lovely Norwood Hall Hotel in Aberdeen! I can't believe how quickly that came around...
Laura and Richard booked my half-day photography option, which gave them photography cover from guests arriving for the ceremony, until they sat down for their meal.
It is safe to say Laura and Richard followed on from their engagement session, their wedding day was a very relaxed, laid back and happy day with loads of laughs. Especially when the best lady forgot that she was meant to do a reading at the start of the ceremony, resulting in the use of some colourful language. She did redeem herself by doing a lovely reading and blessing to the couple.
Laura was a stunning bride and had a big smile on her face all day. To top it all off, after a rainy start we even had gorgeous weather the rest of the day, and that's definitely not a given in February in Aberdeen.
